Mark Murphy received his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in finance and a minor in real estate from California State University at Long Beach. Mark is a certified public accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mark joined LTSP, Inc. in 1985 after five years as the controller of a local holding company that operated and controlled commercial real estate properties and a printing/publishing company. As a partner, he is primarily in charge of planning and supervising audit and other attestation engagements in a wide array of industries including technology, healthcare, real estate, service, distribution and manufacturing. He also has extensive experience with providing audit and compliance services to various types of employee benefit plans covered under ERISA. His experience also includes providing audit services to organizations and entities under the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) programs.
In addition, Mark is active in the community and serves on several non-profit Boards. He is the current President of the Orange County Chapter of the National Institute of Pension Administrators and is the current Treasurer of the Orange County Chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Council. Mark also serves as a Treasurer and advisor for the Wellness & Prevention Center.
Thomas Madigan is an alumnus of California State University at Fullerton where he obtained his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.
Tom began his career with a western states regional certified public accounting firm and joined LTSP, Inc. at its formation in 1976. Tom was admitted to the partnership in 1981.
Throughout his career in public accounting, Tom has concentrated on providing auditing and review services to clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, real estate, professional services, health care, non-profit industries and distribution. He is the firm’s authority on the application of the profession’s technical accounting rules to challenging issues faced by our clients.
Tom is consistently active in civic, charitable and professional organizations as well as serving as President of his homeowner’s association. His professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and National Association of Accountants.
Doris Farinacci graduated from California State University at Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting-Professional. She came to LTSP, Inc. from the banking profession in 1984 and became a partner in 1996.
Doris provides financial reporting, tax and consulting services to closely-held businesses and high net worth individuals. She has experience in compilation, review, and audit of financial statements; financial forecasts and projections and consultation to improve cash flow and profitability. She is very experienced in serving clients in a wide diversity of industries including technology, real estate, contractors, distribution and manufacturing. She is also the firm’s authority on computer applications to solve client’s accounting needs and implement financial reporting systems.
Doris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She served on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Orange County from 2003 through 2015 which included two terms as Board Chair. Doris was selected by the Girl Scouts of Orange County as its 2011 Member of the Year for her invaluable leadership as Executive Committee Member, Board Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair and delegate for Orange County in the 2011 Girl Scouts National Conference. She is active in civic affairs, serving on the Finance Committee of the March of Dimes – Orange County Chapter and the Board of Directors of the Newport Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce for many years. She is a past president of the Dolphins and Organizational Affairs Division of the Newport Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce and has served on the boards of several women’s conferences including the Cal State Long Beach Gold Coast Conference and the Women’s Opportunity Workshop.
Mark Simurda received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University at Fullerton. Mark joined LTSP, Inc. in 1986 as an intern and has spent his accounting career at LTSP, Inc., becoming a tax partner in 1996. In 1989, Mark received his Masters Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
As tax partner, Mark focuses on complex tax issues for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations. He is heavily experienced in researching the tax law, helping clients understand how emerging tax issues and new tax legislation will affect them and how to take advantage of planning opportunities. He also has an excellent track record on representing individuals and businesses before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities.
In addition, Mark, is responsible for the firm’s tax procedures and also represents the firm at local universities in connection with their accounting placement programs.
Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Cyndi LeBerthon received her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton. Cyndi is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Cyndi joined LTSP, Inc. in 2003 after spending several years in private industry. As the Firm’s Quality Control Director, and a Partner in the Firm’s audit department, she is responsible for planning and supervising audit and review engagements in a wide range of industries, including distribution, manufacturing, professional service, technology and hospitality. She also has extensive experience in employee benefit plan audits for both private and public companies, and is an integral part of developing and training the Firm’s associates in the unique compliance issues related to employee benefit plans under ERISA. She also performs system and engagement peer reviews of other CPA firms and provides consulting to other CPA firms to assist in compliance with professional standards.
She is a member of the Peer Review Committee of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. This committee of 20 CPAs has oversight of peer reviews performed in California, Arizona and Alaska under the AICPA Peer Review Program. She is also one of less than 100 California CPAs approved to conduct Peer Reviews for the AICPA’s National Peer Review Committee.
She is a member of the Western Pension and Benefits Council and the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance. She served for six years as Treasurer for the Orange County Compensation and Benefits Association (OCCABA), and is now a member of Women for Girls, supporting Girls, Inc.
Lisa Bracken has worked in public and private accounting for over 30 years, assisting clients with financial reporting, tax, litigation support and special projects in most major industries.
Lisa began her career at LTSP, Inc. as a tax intern advancing to tax manager. She departed LTSP, Inc. to accept a position as a Controller at a fast growing privately held high-tech company with annual sales over $150 million. She subsequently went on to work as a senior manager at a regional CPA firm and managed a boutique CPA firm specializing in dispute resolution services. In 2016 she returned to LTSP, Inc. as a Director of Accounting Services and Tax Consultation focusing on assisting growing companies, start-ups and other businesses with outsourced accounting solutions and business consultation. Ms. Bracken’s broad experience enables her to assist clients and their owners with financial analysis and reporting, development of customized accounting systems and controls, cash flow planning and analysis, training for in-house accountants and bookkeepers, comprehensive tax planning and management information audit and analysis.
Lisa has experience in forensic accounting, trust disputes, fraud investigations, calculating lost profits damages, lost wages/wage and hour claims, partner/shareholder disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, business interruption, breach of contract, and other economic, accounting, finance, tax, and business issues, as well as providing accounting, tax and business consultation. Lisa has assisted clients and their counsel with initial case evaluation, discovery and the development of thorough expert opinions.
Lisa is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Forensic Accountant, Certified Valuation Analyst, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Ms. Bracken received her Master’s degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University, and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting, from the California State University, Long Beach. Lisa is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Alison Perry graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Math Applied Science – Business Management.
Alison began her career with a regional certified public accounting firm and after seven years, joined LTSP, Inc. as an Audit Manager in 2012, and now serves as the Firm’s Senior Audit Manager.
Throughout her career in public accounting, she has concentrated on providing auditing and review services to clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, professional services, non-profit industries and distribution. She also has extensive experience in employee benefit plan audits.
Alison is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is also involved in the Mom’s Club of Seal Beach and served on the Board as the Treasurer for two terms from 2015 through 2017.
Janina Samaco received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California Polytechnic University at Pomona and her Masters Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
Janina spent fifteen years of her career in public accounting and seven years within private industry. In 2017, she joined LTSP, Inc. where, as Senior Tax Manager, she provides tax and consulting services to closely-held businesses and their owners. She has experience in real estate, manufacturing, not-for-profit and asset management industries.
Janina is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She served on the Board of Directors of East Fullerton Little League from 2009 to 2015 which included a term as President and Treasurer. She has also served on various scholarship committees with the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Society of Women Accountants.
Rosanne Smith received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton and her Master’s Degree in Taxation from California State University, Fullerton.
As a Senior Tax Manager, Rosanne brings to the firm twelve years of experience providing individual, corporate and partnership tax consulting and compliance services in manufacturing, retail and various aspects of the real estate industry. Rosanne specializes in working with real estate companies organized as Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies and S‐Corporations where she has focused on tax advisory services related to residential, multifamily and commercial real estate industries including real estate acquisitions, development, management, leasing and sales. Rosanne conducts tax research and analysis as it pertains to entity formation and on various tax matters to ensure appropriate treatment of complicated issues.
Rosanne is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Thomas Miyano received his Bachelors Degree in International Business from California State University Fullerton with graduate study in Accountancy. He began his career in public accounting in 2007 and has extensive experience in audit and review engagements across many industries including manufacturing, distribution, non-profit and employee benefit plans. Thomas also serves on the Firm’s committee to build partnerships with charitable organizations in order to give back to the community.
Thomas is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Nancy Burt received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English/Diversified Liberal Arts from UCLA. She continued her education at UCI where she earned a multiple subject teaching credential and several years ago obtained a California real estate salesperson license.
Nancy joined LTSP, Inc. in 2010, coming from the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry where she spent over 29 years in administrative and leadership roles for an Orange County architecture firm.
At LTSP, Inc. Nancy is responsible for all human resource functions such as on-boarding, payroll and 401(k) management, firm accounting services such as financial statement processes, accounts payable and cash management, as well as facilities management and technology/cloud coordination. She is also a member of the firm Investment Committee and participates in decision making with regard to partner driven initiatives and firm management.
Nancy currently serves as the Vice President/President Elect of the SoCal Chapter of the CPA Firm Management Association (CPAFMA) and is also past president and current Director of the Orange County Chapter of the Society for Design Administration (SDA/OC).
